14. Microwave Assisted One Pot Synthesis Of Mannich Bases Of New Isatin Derivatives

Abstract. Hydrazones of substituted isatin were prepared by reacting isatin and hydrazine hydrate under microwave irradiation. A new series of the corresponding N-Mannich bases were synthesized by reacting them with different secondary amines under microwave irradiation. The compounds synthesized are 1,5-substituted-3-[2-methyl-3,4-dihydro-4-oxo-quinazoline-3(4’-benzoylhydrazono)]indole-2-ones(4) and 1,5substitued-3-[2-(1,3-benzothiazol-2-ylthio)acetohydrazide]indole-2-one(10). The synthesized compounds (4 &10) were confirmed by IR, 1H-NMR, Mass spectral data and elemental analysis.
